SPICE  ( that’s us!)  is an umbrella name for all the different things St John’s church do in the community – like run this web-site. We pop up in all sorts of places. We like to work with other organisations – like the ones represented on this web-site.  You may also find us offering to do jobs in your close. If you are having difficulty with a practical task like gardening or painting – maybe you are disabled or elderly – let us know and we will see if we can help you. It is not always possible – but we do our best. You may have met Gary or Dot as they visit homes on Woodrow.

We, like many other organisations, are keen to build an ever increasingly caring and fun place to live – this site celebrates what is already a thriving community.

As a church we take seriously what Jesus said when he told us to love God first and foremost and then to love our neighbours as ourselves. We believe that Christianity is all about relationship – relationship first of all with the God who made us and loves us and secondly our relationships with other people – no matter who they are – that’s YOU!
